Natural Language Processing (NLP) company Ginger Software is releasing Ginger Keyboard 3.0, a free mobile application for Android devices, today. Ginger Keyboard 3.0 brings to market for the first time “Sentence Rephraser,” a never before seen writing feature that offers users enhanced variations of their original text.
This feature is offered alongside existing proofreading capabilities which are accessible across any Android application – from email and SMS to social networking apps like Facebook and Twitter.
Version 3.0’s Sentence Rephraser uses the only technology on the market that deploys contextual understanding to enhance users’ writing capabilities. Sentence Rephraser leverages Ginger’s advanced NLP platform, which has indexed over one trillion sentences from across the web, to present users with linguistically improved alternatives of their original text. By suggesting new text variations, adding synonyms for individual words and completing fragmented sentences, this tool empowers users to compose enriched text-based messages with a single click.
“We have engineered a truly efficient experience that allows native and non-native English speakers to better express themselves in writing,” said founder and CEO Yael Karov. “By offering a cross-platform tool, we make writing improvement on mobile devices not only user-friendly but also highly accessible.”
Karov says the company is exhilarated to be increasingly shifting focus to mobile. “As more and more people adopt mobile devices as their primary medium for textual communication, Ginger is proud to present a leading solution that enables error-free mobile communication while also providing users with the capability to take their writing to the next level.”
Ginger’s suite of tools check more than 20 million sentences worldwide every day, and according to Karov the company is exhilarated to be increasingly shifting focus to mobile.
Android users can download Ginger Keyboard for free from the Google Play store here.
