Like so many popular sayings, the origin of the idiom 'easier said than done' can be found in venerable literature. This common expression was first seen in print in the Terentius Afer’s 1483 book, Vulgaria Terentii, and was worded in the language of the day as: “It is easyer to saye than to do.”
